Spring Dinner Party in the Old House

I hosted this dinner party in our first home in the month of May, right around the Derby. I was so excited, because I had just purchased a new dinning room set, and I was looking forward to breaking it in. Unfortunately, our table and rug didn't make it in time for the party though! But our beautiful chairs did. I stumbled across these images and thought it would be fun to take you inside of our old dinning room. I love the pops of cobalt on the table for some added color and fun.

At that stage in our lives, we had lived in our 1925 village home for about 5 years and dove into some updating. It was move-in ready when we lived there, but there were aesthetic projects we worked on. The kitchen was a big one and we had just replaced the tile on our fireplace with a marble herringbone that I really miss! This lighting fixture was also an update and we brought it with us to the new house. I loved it so much that I put it in our master bedroom. Our new home needed a bigger one on the first floor and I purchased a matching larger one for our eat-in-kitchen.
